Aalto reseachers in European Flagship projects

Researchers at Aalto University are participating in two European Comission Flagship projects. Graphene Flagship, as well as the Human Brain Project includes a major undertaking of Future and Emerging Technologies (FET).

In October 2013 EU launched its first two flagship projects ever, Graphene and Human Brain Project (HBP). They are ambitious large-scale, science-driven, research initiatives that aim to achieve visionary goals. Both flagships are at their ramp-up phase and they should reach their steady phase in 2016. Low Temperature Laboratory (former O.V. Lounasmaa Laboratory) at the Department of Applied Physics from School of Science participates in both flagship projects.
